The first benchmark tests are planned for the next Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chip and, unsurprisingly, it is faster than the 845 of last year. At least, it gives us a glimpse of what to expect with the flagship phones Android 2019.
Of course, we must give mandatory benchmarks are not indicators of actual performance, because here the benchmarks are not indicators of actual performance. This is a simple way to quantify and compare the performance of the chipset using raw numbers and should not be used solely for this purpose.
That said, the results for the 855 look pretty good, especially compared to the 845, which is the current chip of the bulk of high-end Android phones. In fact, Qualcomm claims that its performance has increased by 40%. This is a pretty big number, especially considering the power of these modern mobile chipsets.
The Android Police recently spent some time testing the 855, comparing it to a multitude of modern devices like the Pixel 3, the OnePlus 6T, the Galaxy Note 9, and so on. If their conclusions interest you and you compare 855 to 845, I urge you to attribute this message to reading .
But in reality, the 855 is, unsurprisingly, better than the 845. It will be a good year for flagship Android projects.
